(A) Taiwan Scholarship

International students may apply for the Taiwan Scholarship offered by the government. Please refer to http://english.moe.gov.tw/ → Study in Taiwan → Scholarships for detailed information.

Applicants may apply from February 1st to the end of March every year at the Taiwan Overseas Mission (TOM) in their countries or the nearest country in case there is no TOM in that country. Remarks

Qualifications

Students must be registered as an international students and have not been granted any scholarships by the R.O.C.(TAIWAN) government

Tuition and miscellaneous fees waiver

Graduate

New students: GPA is above 3.5

Eligible for half or full tuition and miscellaneous fees waiver.

Current students: Last semester average score is above 80 ( on a 100-Point Scale)

Undergraduate

New students whose GPA is above 3.5

Current students: Last semester ranking in the department is at least top 50%

Scholarship

Graduate

New students: undergraduate GPA is 4.0

A maximum of NT$ 8,000 per month full scholarship, or a maximum of NT$ 4,000 per month partial scholarship.

Each appropriation of grants will be for the duration of six months per semester; with a maximum period of 4 semesters. 

Current student: At least studied 3 credits in last semester and pass with an average score of 90 (on a 100-Point Scale)

Undergraduate

New students: High school GPA is 4.0 (on 4-Point GPA Scale)

A maximum of NT$ 4,000 per month scholarship.

Each appropriation of grants will be for the duration of six months per semester; with a maximum period of 8 semesters.

Current students or Transferred students: last semester GPA is 4.0(on 4-Point GPA Scale)

*The actual number of scholarship awardees and the scholarship amount to each awardee will be determined by the Evaluation Committee  according to the annual budget sanctioned by the University.
