4.Students admitted to educational institutions in Taiwan in accordance with an education cooperation agreement shall pay their tuition and other fees that are specified in the agreement.

On-campus accommodation is available by application to the Section of Student Life Guidance. The admitted student should submit an application for accommodation prior to the designated time. However, the university is NOT able to arrange accommodation for couples or families. Accommodation fee is NT$9,500 per semester. (Fee is subjects to change and not including summer and winter vacation.) There are four beds for a room. Students will share the room with other 1-3 students. Those who wish to apply for accommodation may tick the box on the application form. 

1. The exchange rate between US$ and NT$ is about 1:27-1:33 and is subject to change.

2. The average living expense ranges from NT$6,000-8,000 per month. This varies depending on each individual’s living style. Book costs are of own expensive and vary from program to program.

3. The following are compulsory expenses for international students:

National Health Insurance

(Starting from the seventh month of stay in Taiwan)

*Fees are subjects to change according to government policy.

Internet access fee

NT$350 per semester

 

※When students register at NIU, they shall present proof of a medical and injury insurance policy which is valid for at least 6 months from the date the student enters Taiwan. Overseas insurance should be certified by the Taiwanese government representative office of their country of origin or nearest office. International students should have their own health insurance for the first six months prior to their enrollment in the National Health Insurance program. Please check with NIU’s Section of Health Hygiene for information about health insurance.
