  1. How to apply NIU?

    The admission of international students held twice a year, spring semester begin in February, fall semester begin in September. Please refer to general regulations for admission of international student for more details under Admission session. Students are interested in applying NIU may visit On-Line Submission.

  2. Where should I go to verify my diploma and transcript?

    Please go to the Taiwan Overseas Missions in the country where you get your degree. For instance, if you’re from India, but you get your degree in Vietnam, then you should go to the Taiwan Overseas Missions in Vietnam to verify your diploma and transcript.

  3. Can I send my diploma and transcript to the Taiwan Overseas Missions by post in order to finish the verification?

    Currently, the Taiwan Overseas Missions still require you to go to their offices in person to do the verification. If you really can’t go there by yourself, you should ask the people you know who are close to the Taiwan Overseas Missions to conduct the process on behalf of you. 

  4. If I want to apply for master’s programs, but I won’t get bachelor’s degree diploma before the application deadline, what should I do?

    You should ask the school to provide an official statement indicating that you’ll graduate from the school for sure. Or, you can send us the copy of your student ID. 

  5. Can I send my application by email or fax?

    We accept applications sent by post and on-line submission. For on-line application, please visit On-Line Submission of this site.

  6. What kind of language requirement should I have?

    Please provide a Certificate for Chinese or English Proficiency Test based on “Program-Specific Requirements”.

    ●For programs that have ALL English-taught courses: Applicants whose native language is not English should have at least CEFR B1 level or above or an equivalent English Proficiency Test.

    Equivalent English Proficiency Tests are such as TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, etc., but do not include an applicant’s certificate from one’s school or course.

    ●For programs that have ALL Chinese-taught courses or programs that are mainly Chinese-taught courses, with partially English-taught courses: Applicants whose native language is not Chinese should have at least TOCFL A2 level or above or an equivalent Chinese Proficiency Test.

    Equivalent Chinese Proficiency Tests are such as TOCFL, ACTFL, TBCL, etc., but do not include an applicant’s certificate from one’s school or course.

     

  7. If I have a bank account in Taiwan, do I still have to go to Taiwan Overseas Missions to verify my financial statement?

    No, you have to do that only if you have a bank account abroad.

    NIU is located in Yilan County which is one of the most famous destination for foreign visiters.
