Experimental Forest
Located in Jiaoxi Township, NIU has a 173-hectare experimental Forest. The main facilities include a Zhongxin Building that can accommodate nearly a hundred people, 2 classrooms, a nursery garden, a weather station, and an herbarium, providing materials for forest teaching and practice.
Experimental Ranchette
Located in Wujie Township, NIU’s Experimental Ranchette was founded for the purpose of assisting in teaching, internship and research in the fields of animal science and biotechnology.
Experimental Farm
Located in Yilan City, Jinliujie Experimental Farm is a site for courses relevant to vegetables, fruit trees, flowers and gardening. Using smart agriculture to cultivate students’ understanding of the environment and natural ecology with the beautiful mountains and waters of Yilan.
College of Engineering
With advanced equipment and laboratories, we engage in research in various related fields.
The college's 4 departments and also a graduate institute each offer master's degree programs.
At the same time, the college also establishes a "Sustainable Development Center" to conduct research on disaster prevention technology and the sustainable development of the earth. It has also established a "Green Technology R&D Center" to promote related green technologies such as renewable energy and green environment research.
College of Humanities and Management
This college combines the values of a liberal, holistic, diverse pedagogy to develop the whole person.
Our college includes the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature (including an MA program) for graduates specializing in foreign languages; the Department of Applied Economics and Management (including an MA program) produces professional managers; the Department of Leisure Industry and Health Promotion (including an MA program) molds talented specialists in industrial management who will go on to shape an economic climate in which health and leisure sustainability are possible.
